Day 1: Ha Giang – Heaven’s Gate – Twin Mountains – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Tham Ma Pass – Lao Sang – Dong Van (150 km)
We will pick you up anywhere in Ha Giang—whether it’s your hotel or homestay—around 8:00 to 9:00 AM to begin our adventure.
Our first stop is Bac Sum Pass, where we’ll take a short 10-minute break to enjoy the fresh mountain air and take some photos. Then we head toward Heaven’s Gate, a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the peaceful Nam Dam Village. Just five minutes down the road, we’ll arrive at the famous Twin Mountains, also known as the Fairy Mountains.
These unique cone-shaped hills resemble a woman’s breasts, which is why locals affectionately call them “the breasts of the fairy.” In Vietnamese culture, they symbolize nature’s harmony and mystery. The mountains change color with each season, as if the fairy herself is changing clothes.
As we ride further, we’ll pass through scenic cornfields and stop at a few viewpoints to admire the stunning landscape. Then we’ll visit Can Ty Village, where you can observe H’mong people making traditional clothes and handicrafts by hand. Around midday, we’ll stop for lunch in Yen Minh Town.
After lunch, we’ll conquer the legendary Tham Ma Pass, one of the most thrilling mountain passes in Ha Giang. With steep cliffs on one side and deep valleys on the other, this road will get your heart racing. Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of terraced cornfields stretching across the mountains.
Next, we ride to Lao Sang Village, a lesser-known but truly stunning place. The rugged beauty of Lao Sang stands out with its dramatic karst rock formations scattered across lush green meadows. Here, we’ll dive deeper into H’mong culture, visiting local blacksmiths who handcraft silver jewelry like rings, bracelets, and necklaces. If you’d like, you can buy a meaningful souvenir or gift for someone special.
After exploring Lao Sang, we continue to the King’s Palace—the former residence of the H’mong royal family. We’ll take about 20 minutes to walk through this historical site and learn about their rich past.
Finally, we arrive in Dong Van, where we’ll stay overnight at a traditional H’mong homestay. If your visit falls on a Sunday, you’ll have the chance to explore the vibrant Dong Van Market, where local ethnic groups come together to buy, sell, and trade goods—from fresh produce to handmade crafts. It’s a colorful and unforgettable cultural experience.
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng pass – Meo Vac – Mau Due – Ngoc long- Du Gia
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Mau Due – Ngoc Long – Du Gia (110km)
After breakfast, we begin one of the most unforgettable parts of the Ha Giang Loop: Ma Pi Leng Pass—one of the most spectacular mountain passes in all of Vietnam. Winding along cliffs at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,400 meters, Ma Pi Leng offers heart-stopping views and an adrenaline rush as we ride above the dramatic valley, looking down on the emerald waters of the Nho Que River far below.
At Ma Pi Leng, we’ll stop and spend around 2 hours hiking from the Monument Viewpoint across the famous “Death Cliff” and White Cliff to reach the Panorama viewpoint. From here, you’ll be able to see all the way to the China border, and along the hike, you’ll get a close look at local life and nature. At the end of the hike, our bikes will be waiting for you at the bottom of the mountain for a smooth pickup.
Next, we ride toward Mau Due, passing through more stunning karst landscapes. We’ll take a few scenic stops along the way, and once we arrive in Mau Due, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch.
After lunch, we continue riding to Ngoc Long Village, where a peaceful bamboo raft will take us along a beautiful river to visit a natural cave. You’ll have about 1 hour on the raft, and if you’d like, you can also swim in the clean, refreshing water.
From there, we ride onward to Du Gia Village, a quiet and beautiful area surrounded by rice terraces and forested mountains. After checking into a local homestay, we’ll take a short trip to a nearby waterfall, where you can relax and swim for about 30 minutes to an hour. Afterward, we return to the homestay to rest for the night.
Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong – Thai An – Trang Ky – Ha Giang (80km)
We’ll start our final day early with breakfast, tea, or coffee before continuing our motorbike journey back to Ha Giang.
We’ll ride through the vast and peaceful Duong Thuong Valley, then head uphill toward Thai An, where we’ll stop for lunch (alternatively, we may eat in Trang Ky, depending on timing).
Along the way, we’ll take time to enjoy the mountain views and stop at two beautiful waterfalls, perfect for swimming and relaxing.
We expect to arrive back in Ha Giang City around 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. We’ll drop you off at your hotel, homestay, or our office, where you’ll have time to shower and rest.
